About
Hounddog Design is a small contemporary design studio based in East Sussex, focusing on Scandinavian inspired lighting. All designs are developed and hand-crafted to order, in-house. Modern materials having a low environmental impact, are used to provide strength, stability and consistency. Where possible the designs can be customised, giving clients the opportunity for creative input and to meet their exact requirements.
Before evolving the current range, Nick produced a varied portfolio of furniture some of which is available to purchase, and which can be seen here.
Customisation and Collaboration
At Hounddog Design, we’re passionate about creative collaboration and welcome opportunities to work with architects, designers, and creatives from all disciplines – whether it’s reimagining existing pieces or exploring entirely new design concepts.
Our techniques have been honed through months of dedicated development, and we can now apply that expertise to broader areas of conceptual design.
All our designs are created in 3D modelling software, which allows for design adjustments and simulating an installation, helping with initial visual assessment. Samples can also be supplied to assist with final decisions.
From experimenting with alternative sizes, colours, and forms to adapting our aesthetic to suit new environments or ideas – if you have a concept in mind or simply want to explore how our design language could complement your work, we’d love to hear from you.
